*Family & Friends Day' is a day that emphasizes and promotes fellowship... with God and with others. It's a time of extended worship and 'koinonia' (fellowship). We break 'spiritual' bread and 'natural' bread together... 'Family & Friends Day' differs somewhat from our regular services. We invite special singing guests to come and be part of our worship service, and we bring food... enough to share with others. Eating meals together was clearly a regular practice of the early church. Having a meal together maximizes our time together for sharing and relationships. So on 'Family & Friends Day' we worship, we pray, we sing, and we share a meal together.
