Questions About What to Expect
When You Visit Us?
We hope this answers some of them!
Our corporate services are an opportunity to gather as God’s people to worship him together as a family. Worship is not merely an act of singing, or something that only takes place on Sunday morning, but rather, worship is what encompasses all aspects of our every day lives.
What takes place in a service?
Our corporate worship together includes scripture reading, music and singing, times of prayer and hearing God’s word. A typical gathering is around an hour and a half.
Is there a dress code?
Our family has a wide variety of people, and with it, a wide variety of dress – from dress shirt and tie, to t-shirt and jeans! Our only request is that whatever variety of dress you choose to wear that it is modest in appearance.
Do I have to give money?
We collect an offering each week for the work of the ministry (christian education materials, outreach, missions, benevolence, etc); and, to meet our monthly obligations for our facility (mortgage, lights, phone, etc). You are free to give to these collections, but do not have to feel obligated to. Giving is not mandatory, but is encouraged as a way to contribute to helping serve God’s Kingdom!
Is there something for my children?
Yes. On Sundays at 10:00 am & Wednesdays at 7:00 pm we have Awana Clubs. Awana offers a fun, proven approach for early evangelism and discipleship. Scripture-based programs and exciting games promote Bible literacy and help kids develop lifelong faith in Christ. Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Awana establishes welcoming, supportive environments where kids learn how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives.

Puggles (age 2)
Cubbies (ages 3-5)
Sparks (K-1st-2nd)
T&T (3rd-4th)
During our morning worship service we have our older children, ages 12-17 stay in the sanctuary. We feel it is important for them to be a part of our community of believers who worship together corporately.

Note to parents on why we feel it important for our older children to be in our corporate worship services:

As parents we want our older children with us in worship so they can catch the spirit and form of our worship. We believe It is good for them to see how Mom and Dad bow their heads in earnest prayer; to see how Mom and Dad sing praise to God with joy on their faces, and how they listen hungrily to His word. We want them to catch the spirit of their parents meeting with the living God. There is a sense of solemnity and awe which children should experience in the presence of God. If we as parents are going hard after God our children will see it and know that relationship with God is real. A deep moving of the magnificence of God can come to the young, tender heart through certain moments of great hymns or songs of worship or ‘loud silence’ or authoritative preaching. These are of immeasurable value in the cultivation of a young heart that grows to revere and love God.
more about our worship
Pentecostal worship is Spirit-filled worship under the direction of the Holy Ghost. During our worship services, we lift our voices in praise, we raise our hands in honor to God, we make a joyful noise unto the Lord. The Bible says God inhabits the praises of his people.
If you have never had the opportunity to be in a Spirit-filled pentecostal service before, you will discover that Biblical expressions of worship are still practiced today.
The following are some Biblical references as to why we conduct our church services as we do:
We Pray Together Out Loud
Because the Bible says, ... they lifted up their voice to God with one accord." Acts 4:24

We Lift Our Hands In Praise
Because the Bible says, "Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord." Psalm 134:2

We Sing With All Of Our Hearts
Because the Bible says, "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise." Psalm 98:4

We Play Musical Instruments
Because the Bible says, "... and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments… ” II Samuel 6:5

We Clap And Shout Unto God
Because the Bible says, O clap your hands all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” Psalm 47:1

We Sometimes Dance Before The Lord
Because the Bible says, Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs.” Psalm 150:4

We Testify Publicly
Because the Bible says, I will declare thy name unto my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.” Psalm 22:22

We Anoint With Oil For Divine Healing
Because the Bible says, Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.” James 5:14

We Actively Encourage The Operation Of Spiritual Gifts
Because the Bible says, When ye come together, everyone of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation… ” Corinthians 14:26. The Gifts of the Spirit are one way through which God makes Himself known in the world today.

We Prophesy
Because the Bible says, "But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort… Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said… For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. 1 Corinthians 14:3, 29, 31 "Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good… to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.…" 1 Corinthians 12:7, 10 NIV
