Serving the Homeless in Franklin County
We saw that there was a real need in our community to take care of those who are most vulnerable during the cold of winter, the homeless. With that in mind, we envisioned creating a day shelter where people in need could find a warm and welcoming place to escape the freezing temperatures during the day. Out of that vision Sheltering Arms of Franklin County was born.

Warm and welcoming place to spend the day
We’re excited to share that our Fellowship Hall has been transformed into a warm and inviting space where our guests can enjoy their day! A tasty breakfast and hot lunch will be served daily, there's also snacks and drinks to enjoy. We have activities available, we offer a daily devotion for those who would like to participate, and after lunch there's board games, checkers, bingo, books to read, and TV (selective programming). For those who simply want to relax, we have comfortable seating available. Our wonderful volunteers will be there to ensure everyone is well cared for. We’ll arrange transportation to and from our location. The shelter, located at 5185 Callaway Rd in Rocky Mount, opens at 8:30 a.m. and closes at 4:45 p.m. each day.
